It is an absolute pleasure to welcome you to Casa Mia.
My name is Samantha Leyton and I consider it a great privilege to lead this beautiful school, underpinned by pure Montessori principles, keeping the child at the centre of all we do.
Nestled in the heart of the Town of Bassendean, our ties to the community are strong. Our school’s quaint location is a delightful setting for the outstanding Montessori educational programme it delivers.
We cater for children aged 3 – 12 years old, starting at Children’s House, where children are introduced to a range of sensorial equipment that lay the foundations for complex concepts to come, through to Upper Primary, where the children use reasoning, abstract thought and imagination to explore and develop their understanding of the world. Our children enjoy making use of our play space and the favourite climbing tree altogether, sharing their knowledge, experience and joy.
Above all, we are committed to providing an education for life that combines and supports all intelligence and integrates academic learning with social/emotional learning as well as connecting with the environment and the wider world.
