My name is Jamie-Lee and I am profoundly Deaf, Auslan is my first language. I enjoy being the Auslan LOTE teacher and I believe sign language is a beautiful language.

I have grown up in the Perth Hills, but I have lived in London, UK for 2 years and travelled extensively all over Europe, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Asia. Before leaving to travel I was a Veterinary surgery nurse.

I love all things the Deaf Community and the Deaf culture bring and I have had many amazing experiences in a variety of countries. I am passionate about animals, children and travel. I love the experience that life brings. I have a beautiful horse named Harvey and 2 kittens named Bonnie and Ziva.

Last year, I worked as a Deaf Education Officer as a support Deaf role model for Deaf children, including playgroup and Kindergarten. As well as this I visited Deaf student’s schools and conducted Auslan classes with parents and Education Assistant staff. I have worked as an Auslan LOTE teacher at various schools over the last 2 years, as well as working with the Deaf and Vision impaired, SSENS.

I'm currently also working at a vet hospital as a vet nurse and kennel hand.
